Linux
The precompiled binaries included in this package were compiled on Ubuntu and can be launched by the included shell script.
The source code, however, is also included, enabling you to compile the binaries on your own machine.
To compile and run the binaries on your own machine, follow these steps:
- Make sure you have the essential toolchain and the SDL2, SDL2-mixer, SDL2-image and OpenGL dev libraries installed on your system
- Make sure the shell script "./source/enet/check_cflags.sh" has execute permissions
- Build the binaries using the provided "./source/Makefile" by typing
make install
- Make sure the binaries and the included shell script ("valhalla_unix") have execute permissions
- Launch the (native/included) binaries by executing the script
At the directory "./bin/bin_unix", a small introduction to packaging is offered.
