I will try to write all questions (well, not exactly questions) im getting and answers for them. A lot of people also can't get informed on certain things, so I think this article will be appropriate

FAQ


Q: Do i need original copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky?

A: No. Dead Sky is a standalone modification.

Q: Mod dead aeawadawea / When release?

A: If this mod would be for real dead, then there wouldn't be any development on it for over 8 months now. We want to release it maybe next month or in 2 months or something like that. I don't know. We also have our private life and not only that we want to make mod stable. Which is also a answer why we are working on the mod for so long - because of how mod was so unstable. We hope for now that it will be stable thanks to Advanced X-ray. Devs are also supporting us if there will be any problems.

Q: Eww, I DONT LIKE THAT ATMOSHPERE AND GRASS.

A: Well, we respect other people's opinions and also their preferences and we already know that propably not everyone gonna like the style of Dead Sky. Our inspiration was a Misery, Dead Air and other mods making the zone look depressed and dead BUT......
We been ready for that. Nothing to worry about, there will be our addons for Dead Sky that will completly change the atmosphere in the mod. If player will want to then they will be able to use them and change the mod to be more green, alive etc. and not only that.

Q: Minimum requirements?

A: Not sure to be fair. Some of our testers were testing mod on potato PC's. So basically it means that you don't need any high-end PC to be able to play it.

Q: Is this just another copy of Misery of Clear Sky?

A: No. It's not a another hardcore mod and it will don't have all Misery mechanics etc. Misery for sure was our inspiration for the atmoshpere and graphic in Dead Sky, but the whole gameplay not gonna be the same.

Q: Engine?

A: (This is kinda funny question, because i even started to put "Advanced X-ray x64 engine" in the titles of videos and even on the title of this mod but i don't know why people still asks about it).
The engine we are using is Advanced X-ray x64 from M.F.S. Team. I recommend checking what this engine adds and change :)

Q: What does this mod exactly change or add?

A: For sure not only the graphic and atmoshpere. We want to modify every aspect of the game.

Q: New quests?

A: We are not sure about it. I mean, if there will be any new quests and tasks in Dead Sky and it's unfortunetaly because we just don't know how to add them. We have sources from where we can learn how to do it, but just dont want to make a bigger delay on Dead Sky release.

Q: Is there will be vanilla Clear Sky storyline?

A: Yea.

Q: Such a big weapon pack list, what's even a point in it?

A: This is basically my fault, because i just wrote the list of weapon pack's we gonna use. But i didn't say that we gonna port ALL WEAPONS. We just gonna use some of them. We are also not a big fans of having 800+ weapons in stalker where 90+ are just skin variants.

Q: Are the bugs fixed? (Vanilla Clear Sky)

A: Dead Sky is using newest SRP mod, so yea. I think.

Q: I don't like something that is in the mod / i have suggestion etc.

A: The best way to tell us that, it's joining Dead Sky discord server or just on Moddb and telling us. We are open for opinions and ideas. It's better to directly tell us.
