Future News:
Since the Pre-Release of Lambda Land has been released, I'm very happy to announce that the final release for Xen's Horror is being worked on... A 13 chapter long full mod will be released sometime in July-September 2024! Be ready for the horror that lies ahead...
The mod's really not all that hard - why would you add MORE health/HEV batteries?
Oh! It's not that hard? Oh Alright... I guess I'll fix that...
Well there's not that many enemies, and most people playing Half-Life know how to deal with headcrabs and zombies without taking much - if any - damage, so the mod so far feels pretty unbalanced.
Rewatch monster_urby's video playthrough and see how much damage he takes. His videos are actually a REALLY useful way of getting feedback.
Don't worry, the final release for Demo 2.0 will make it way harder... Hopefully
That's way too many entities, i think you should tone it down a bit.
Oh Alright... I wanted to add more since everyone way saying it wasn't that hard...
I think you should add more gameplay because I beat it very quickly
You beat it quick because it's a demo lol... Don't worry more content is on the way
A very generic and repetitive series of levels, which last very little, and are very linear and small.
And it's one of those mods where they don't have their own autosave system, so you'll have to save/load, unless you want to repeat the entire principle
The first map is quite easy to finish in that you must go straight to touch a button that takes you outside (an exterior that is decorated with Xen's fauna, which makes me understand that we are in a lunar base??)
The later maps are basically super linear and small maps without much to highlight other than being overloaded with scientists and guards.
Apart from that, the levels are very boring, each one has a very basic and overused style, which is repeated over and over again, with many copied and pasted rooms and corridors, they don't even try to vary the enemies.
Admittedly this is a bit bad and amateurish, there's a lot more nuance to pick up through this mod, and it's clear that you were motivated at the time to start your own career in half-life mapping, which is very welcome. . Continue to learn from your flaws and create even more mods, as I'm sure that in some distant future, you'll get a very good batch of maps here
About the bugs, I found some that bothered me a little
The security guard at the beginning wouldn't let me into a room that contained a button, which forced me to go to the console and activate noclip, or kill him with the shotgun.

One of the health stations has its texture inverted by mistake

The walls are transparent in this room

The meshes in this section have blue squares, they are misaligned apart

Thanks for the fesdback. I'll try to work on it ASAP!!!
