This mod adds fully animated Mauser C96 to the game.
DESCRIPTION
Chambered in 7.62x25 tokarev (since i can't be bothered to make 7.63 mauser rounds) and in 9mm after upgrading. It can be bought from: Loners, Bandits, Renegades, Clear Sky and Freedom or dropped by low tier members of the factions. Available both on moddb and GAMMA mod posting channel.
Works with GAMMA and Standard Anomaly respectively
IF YOU CRASH WHILE USING GAMMA
If you have: unjam_motion_mark.script error or get_jammed error from uni_anim_core.script or get_jam_status error from uni_anim_core.script, then you either have to go on the gamma discord server and check the second pin in "modded gamma support" channel or replace "uni_anim_core.script" by taking it from the mod that's having the script overwritten by the c96.

NOTE
This is the first time i ever configured an actual weapon instead of just animating already existing one, so if something's wrong let me know, also i didn't playtest it so if something is wrong or should be changed let me know. Also i didn't pick the model.

- All the model shenanigans were fixed by Burn, the gun looks way better now
- Fixed bullets bouncing during the reload animations
- Fixed sounds overlapping during the jam animations
- Redone the upgrade tree, you can now convert it to fire in full auto, I also included an optional mag capacity upgrade
- Added fomod installer
- Made a new showcase video and preview image

- Changed the texture to a compressed one without green/purple compression artifacts

Alright honest review here
Animations are quite good I like them, even if some be could improved a bit, but I think it's this mod best feature.
Sounds are quite "average" for scratch made gun mods. This gun is hard to find in videos games compared to AK and guns we've seen everywhere so are the HQ sound assets. Some sounds are okay and some are clearly placeholders.
Model and textures feel very low quality though, I am quite surprised about it, I wonder where the model actually comes from but I'm sure much better model could have been found and used instead.
In conclusion it's a cool addition and a solid basis for improvement if anyone was to ever do it. The big brother M712 schnellfeuer with stock would be a cool next project to go along. It would give me great nostalgy regarding old TAZ.

Model textures and sounds are from Day Of Infamy. I understand certain people want higher quality textures/models/sounds but it really doesnt bother me. I guess if someone wants to do that, at least they have the base animations

Does it not work with GAMMA? no matter where i put it, i crash before i can get to the main. i even scrubbed the old m96 out of the simple weapons pack

Same as above, error cannot read 'up_gr_firsta_c96', tried even with all other mods disabled, still getting this error

Alright, now the game load and i can get the gun just fine, but i have 2 other bugs to report:
1)The gun do start the reload animation even when there is no available ammo in the inventory, of course it doesn't actually reload but the animation shouldn't start at all
2)If the extended magazine modification is installed with the mod manager, the game crash when hovering the mouse over that particular upgrade, without that modification installed all upgrade work fine

fixed the mag problem, can you describe in more detail the reload issue?
The reload bug is confined only to the animation, to replicate it simply attempt to reload the gun when there is no compatible ammo in the inventory and the magazine isn't full, the partial reload animation will play instead of doing nothing as with all other guns

Hi, is the 9mm upgrade supposed to reduce the magazine from 10 rounds to 8?
Edit: Ah, I think it's the Pretty Pistols Pack that is causing it somehow after some testing.

I don't sorry, just going off of what the mod's author said when they replied to me. And I'm not really familiar enough with how the weapon configs work to know which one would be conflicting. And when I check M02, the only conflict it notes is upgrades_preset.ltx
Hello, I've got a report about how PPP changes how Mauser C96 works from dansha as well, he forgot to mention that it's the 9mm upgrade, in which case, I know the problem and solution then:
PPP changes how the calibers work by making them truly unique, such as making the 9mm have the same range, velocity and damage as a real 9mm itself, vanilla Anomaly just switches the caliber and reduces a bit of reliability.
Because of that and the fact your Mauser shares the upgrade scheme, PPP indirectly changes it.
My suggestion for a solution is to make a new upgrade scheme, or at least change the one that switches it to the 9mm.
Use my PPP upgrade schemes as reference, you will find them all in "configs\items\weapons\upgrades", "w_usp45new_up" is a good reference since "up_sect_firste_uspnew" changes the caliber from .45 ACP to 9mm.
Also, your and mine "upgrades_preset.ltx" are identical, that's good, no problem with that. It's a shared file to make sure the upgrades are loaded in properly.
