what is the right version?

Is there a way to run this on modern ports? Trying with Echoes of the Past in Q2XP mod, not working says Server killed. The Armageddon Device cant even run Setup says PC doesnt support.

Hello can you add a video or more screenshots? I'd love to try it out when I get some more free time.

Just downloaded this, works amazing with Q2XP mod, 1440p 60FPS widescreen glory. But difficulty is fkn brutal, I died at Medium difficulty on Map 2.

Everything is perfect about this mod, finished Q2 single player campaigns in 2 days. It would be a dream come true if this port could include the HD cinematics from YouTube and the SFX mod Heavy Metal.

Is there anyway to include custom cinematics in Q2 engine though?

Not working on Q2XP mod on OpenAL sound device. Music works fine though. Any idea how to set it up?

Will this work on Quake2XP Port? Honestly, its the best port for Quake 2 visually and I have no desire to install KMQuake now.

EDIT: I figured it out, please include the detailed procedure for noobs like me< I had to scour the net for hours to understand what to do. :P

PROCEDURE:
Create a shortcut to quake2xp.exe. Right click on the shortcut and click on Rename. Replace 'quake2xp.exe - Shortcut' to 'Quake2XP - The Reckoning'. Right click on the shortcut again, this time click on Properties.
In the Target dialogue box, should have something like 'C: Games Quake 2 quake2xp.exe' Change this to 'C: Games Quake2 quake2xp.exe' +set game xatrix +set netcompatibility 1 Click the OK button to close the properties window. Step 8) Create another shortcut to quake2xp.exe. Right click on the shortcut and click on Rename. Replace 'quake2xp.exe - Shortcut' to 'Quake2XP - Ground Zero'.

To play Quake 2 run quake2xp.exe. To play Quake 2 - The Reckoning run the shortcut Quake2XP - The Reckoning To play Quake 2 - Ground Zero run the shortcut Quake2XP - Ground Zero.

Hello Creator, can you please guide me on how to play Ground Zero or Reckoning on this mod?

Absolutely amazing graphics on my potato notebook with GeForce MX110 no problem. However I am getting a pathetic 20-35 FPS range even with Adaptive V-Sync on. Any help on how to improve frame rates, I mean I can turn down a few settings like I dont really need shadows to enjoy the game, if it'll help improve to steady 45+ FPS.

Anyway, I also needed to ask how to enable other mission packs and mods on this, might be amazing to have this play Reckoning.

Will GeForce 110MX work? I really want to play this but I have no idea how to install mods or such.

I dont have Q2pro, can this be run on vanilla Quake 2?

Will this work on Vanilla Quake 2? I have no idea about what is KMQuake or QP or Yamagi ports that they all keep talking about.

How to run this game? I am new to mods please guide me it looks very interesting.

Hello I am really impressed by the idea of a custom campaign on Taiidan Republic. I'd like to help with story and dialouges and pacing, and even voice acting if youre interested in it. I hope for more story based mods, unfortunately most HW mods I see around is about improving tactics, so your idea really stoked me up.

The project is unfinished and probably wont be finished in a long time as this guy has almost no help and is doing most of the stuff on his own. So all models have not been remade.

Many things are broken for 1.26 due to forced widescreen. This works best with native widescreen support so you need versions 1.30+

Hey can you tell me which Arachnids work? I am playing under Rebirth now and its extremely annoying to see shadows on scorpions that I cant even attack. Is there any workarounds like using old models and how to do them?

If you are using v1.26 then its unavoidable. Use v1.30+ and you wont face this crash.

Unfortunately still doesnt fix the Scorpions being shadows problem in some custom campaigns. Havent tested the Blizzard campaigns yet though.

Turn resolution to 1080 and it will be fixed. This is due to lack of native widescreen in 1.28 and below.

Hello I like the looks of it, can you tell me if it runs on 1.30.4, also is the project complete?

Try WarCraft Rebirth mod, its on moddb and is absolutely gorgeous.

I had the same issue in 1.26. Upgraded to 1.30.4 and it works great. I suggest 1.30 because of widescreen support that might fix the issues.
