ESHQ is a mod for Half-Life with its own storyline (not from Half-Life universe). Unknown government spy must steal secret files from the building called “Evil scientists headquarters”. But his job gonna be a bit more difficult and long...
ESHQ is an abbreviation that means “Evil scientists headquarters”. This is the name for the fake experimental center, used for distraction from the real infrastructure complex:
This organization has an antagonist – the “Sampi research complex”. Probably, the ESHQ was the part of Sampi, but it hasn’t been confirmed. It consists of three separated sectors and the headquarters:
Initially all of these points didn’t concern the protagonist in any way. But fate is unpredictable. And now he need to go through all of this elements of evil...

Hi everyone!
We've updated our deployment tool Moddb.com to adapt it for Windows 10. In particular:
✅ The method for checking access rights has been completely rewritten. It now correctly detects problems with permissions to create files and entries in the Windows registry.
✅ A special section has been added to the user manual to troubleshoot access problems. The user will be automatically redirected there if the app cannot obtain the necessary access rights.
✅ Updated the self-updating algorithm. Previously, it used the file version substitution in the file name to circumvent the ban on overwriting the executable file. In this form, the algorithm would require granting administrator rights to the app after each update. Now a more “conservative” bypass scheme is used, which allows you to assign permissions once and for all.
So, now this thing should be more useful on actual operating systems. If not, you still can use stand-alone 7Z archives to update our mods. In any case, thanks for helping us improve it.
Best regards,
Nicolay B. aka RD_AAOW
I thought I had been playing version 14 (I downloaded it on March 20th via the deployment program) but when I select "Custom Game", it says it's version 13.10.4... have I been playing an outdated version this whole time?
Hi!
Don't worry. The actual assembly just contains the wrong version file. It doesn't affect the other content.
If you can find a fog on the last map (with the time machine), you have an actual version
Okay, thank you! It does have the fog, sorry for responding so late. I did an LP series of this game on my YT channel if you are interested! I've wanted to for a long time, and finally got around to it with Ver. 14! It's been fun watching this mod come as far as it has. I do have a question though, didn't you say quite a while back there would be additional stand alone episodes that expand on parts of the story or something? Have any of those been released?
LP = longplay? If so, this is a great opportunity for us to see how it works “outside the test chamber”. We’re using these videos to find bugs, mapping mistakes, inconveniences and difficulties which would otherwise remain invisible to us. After that we can do some improvements and release a better version of ESHQ.
About your question. Unfortunately, I’ve missed that inspiration, and the idea of “From aside” is deeply sleeping now. The only thing I can maintain now is ES: Randomaze, the plotless PvE (I guess?) shooter with the configurable maps generator
Oops, sorry for late replay! No, LP = Let's Play, means a multi-video playthrough with commentary. So similar, but not exactly a Longplay.
I see, well, it is what it is I guess. I'm glad the main mod was completed at least!
Hey man can you release a ESHQ v14 source code, when take a look in github.com it say "This repository has been archived by the owner on Oct 21, 2022. It is now read-only." ???
Hi!
You probably looked at the old repository. Here’s the new one: Github.com. It is still open-source, according to the “mother” license
Comment of [Guest] from 3/20/24 has been removed due to the presence of offensive remarks regarding the entire project without indicating adequate reasons; presence of false information about the project
oh wait is this mod will add voice act too ???
Hi!
If I understand you correctly, this work is almost completed. We have some lines that need to be re-recorded. But for now it's not critical
