Lost.Stalker.Zone
The basis of this mod changes the layout of the maps to be closer to reality In addition to that there is a set of addons and patches to complete the mod by trying to make things realistic You can use the main mod alone or put any addons/patches of your choice for better customization
MAIN MOD:
New map layouts from real satellite maps of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone
Looners, Duty, Military and Mercenaries have changed their main base. It's up to you to find them in the Zone
Military are more present in the Zone and work with Duty and Ecologists
There are new traders who sell artifacts, drugs or informations. Some are new characters, others already existing. It's up to you to find them in the Zone
New realtions between factions and mutants, Mercenaries are neutral with Looners and you can see quite a few mutants fighting against each other
Complete locked routes, if you choose not to use 'accessible zone' in the new game start menu, you will need to purchase all routes between levels
ADDONS:
Set of mods to improve the 'realistic' side of the game
Each addons is standalone, you can install everything or install whatever you like
Install them by following the order of the numbers
You will find in some addons, patches corresponding to the previous addons, make a copy/paste and replace every files
PATCHES:
List of patches for different mods, you need to install the original mod and then replace the files
INSTALATION:
Make a clean installation of Anomaly without any mods
Download and extract the mod
You can find a description for each mod/addons/patches in the respective folders
Install the mod by following the installation numbers (there are three folders, number 1 is the main mod, number 2 are optional addons and number 3 are optional patches for existing mods made by other modders)
Start a new game

Moves Mercenaries to Agroprom, Duty to the Dead City, Loners control Rostock, and I haven't found where the army was moved to (Yantar maybe?). Starting spawns are not updated yet. Spawned in dead city as a Merc and Duty blasted me. Also on the map it is difficult to tell where everything connects to because the distances are so far apart and the arrows on the map don't say where they are going.
Very interesting mod though.

You probably should know that CoP maps are pretty much accurate to the real locations (despite some 30 degrees rotation of pripyat and not so accurate Yanov/Jupiter)

this is a neat mod but one thing is, Great Swamp should be in the far south of the Pripyat river
Thanks, yes I could have put the marshes to the south of the Pripyat river but that made the pda map enlarge, I preferred to put them at the site of Lake Azbucyn
I've been enjoying this addon but the early linear path, bc paths have been mostly removed and no new ones added, and tasks sending you to far remote aeras(which would be closer on the old map layout), makes ironman experience very tedious.
I'll keep checking for missions and paths updates, very interesting and cool, promising addon.
Thanks for the feedback, what do you mean by bc path? If these are the passages between each level, it is normal to have no passage if you do not choose the option 'accessible zone' in the new game start menu, you have to buy them all.
For the story tasks, I have no plans to change things, as you say it's more complicated and I like it that way

OT: If you can edit the PDA map layout and rework smart terrain, aren´t you like one step away from being able to import maps from other mods into anomaly?

Novice use medkits faster
Npcs can help wounded npcs during combats
Less weapons jam for npcs
Npcs kill faster wounded enemy npcs
I almost slept on that, some nice stuff in the addons. Always bothered me how npcs shoot 2 times with a pistol then jam, not to mention guys like Wolf with a RPK who rarely get off more than 5 shots before unjamming their 100 round mag.
And I was looking for a way to add more rad zones, nice!

Maybe a dumb question, but how compatible is this with mods like Dynamic Mutants or Warfare ALife Overhaul? I assume its wholly incompatible with High-Res PDA Maps. Is it also necessary to start a new game for this mod?
The mod is not compatible with mods that modify smart terrain, therefore not compatible with warfare overhaul
For dynamics mutants, should be comlpatible, not tested.

This looks great, but WHY did you change the background for the inventory? That was absolutely unnecessary and it looks way worse than the original. I get the idea, but it just doesnt work.
The inventory is part of the addons, it is not mandatory, if you don't like it, don't install it, only '1_Main_Mod' is necessary to have the map change

i tested a bit and if deleted, other files from text/rus will cause crashes with same error code

i tested a little more: some of your custom rus local files have errors in tags, like some of them are translated like <text> => <текст> and some are doubled, breaking xml logic
i tried to fix it, but game kept crushing, but now with

oke, i actually managed to fix all localisation files and it seems like everything works now

how did you fix these mistakes?
in russian local there are some xml tags that were doubled, translated from <text></text> to <текст></текст>
also some tags weren't closed properly
i fixed it by manually checking every pair of tags in lsz files and correcting them accordingly
for example in st_quests_escape_lsz.xml i replaced
<string id="esc_stalker_trader_task_4_finish">
<текст> Отличная работа, сталкер.</текст>
</string>
with
<string id="esc_stalker_trader_task_4_finish">
<text> Отличная работа, сталкер.</text>
</string>
