Capturing the drama and epic conflict of Star Wars, Battlefront II brings the fight online. Attention to detail and scale make this game a joy to behold, with 16 incredible new battlefronts such as Utapau, Mustafar and the space above Coruscant, as well as the Death Star interior and Tantive IV, Princess Leia's blockade runner seen at the beginning of the original Star Wars.
This is a custom Scarif map made by GIFTHECK originally for Battlefront(2004), that I've converted for Battlefront II (2005)
You've done great with this! I love the minor changes to the sides to accompany this map!
Any chance you could add any of this stuff to your released asset thread on gametoast, Giftheck? The u wing is awesome and the props too. No worries if not, great work!
Thanks! :D
I love this map :) In my top 3
Great map! Any way to drop the brightness of the sand?
turn off light bloom and that did the trick for me.
As time went by, I started to appreciate this conversion more and more.
The map itself is as great here as in SWBF1, the custom sides are also spot on - it's easy to notice that you tried to replicate the feel of the stock sides while adding something new, and I think you succeeded in both.
If I may make a few suggestions in case you might make an update in the future, I think it would be cool to have CTF Mode here. I'd also suggest replacing Dark Trooper with a Death Trooper - yeah, that Phase 0 Dark Trooper is iconic, but I think that no other map would be as fitting to add Death Troopers to it as this one. :D Also, this is a very small detail, but I think it would be really neat if you could give Krennic his cape (retextured Count Dooku cape would do the job).
Anyways, great map, and I agree that it's one of the best for SWBF2. :)
Lovely Scarif recreation that feels rather authentic while also fitting right in on the game design and aesthetic of the classic Battlefront games. It's almost like a demake of what you see in the current Battlefront games.
Why is the sand so bright? It looks like I'm standing on the surface of the Sun.
