I'm in dire need of a break, so I'll get into the technical details later.
Description
This is a mod that serves a single purpose — to make the game break the 32bit limit.
Old games generally only use 4gb RAM, including Armada II.
By using a combination of DXwrapper, Bridge Remix and DXVK 2.3.1 and thanks their creators for their hard work, we were able to partially overcome this limitations.
In more detail, this mod supports:
Vsync,
almost breaking the 4GB limit,
and high-performance graphics processing based on Vulkan.
BTW,you can try to fiddle with dxwrapper.ini, bridge.conf and dxvk.conf to get some other features.
Notice
The only thing to note with FO mod 3.2.7 is that the FO mod breaks hooks when launching instant actions. You MUST run the game in windowed mode, or entirely in full-screen mode.
But for now, simply enable windowed mode in FO's settings.
Compatibility with other Armada versions?
I think it supports mod loading, I played KA2 EAW and Star Trek - Evolution, game works fine.
I know there is a FO 4.0, but there are some additional issues there that I haven't solved yet.
For the vanilla Armada II, I'm sure it will work because I actually tested the entire RTX Remix on the vanilla version before, but maybe some parameter tweaking is needed.
For Armada I, you need to adjust dxwrapper.ini, turn off d3d8to9, turn on Dd7to9 and some other small changes to enable the mod. Again I'm sure it works, but there may be unexpected issues.
