So, what is it?
In case you're wondering, it's a sort of "experiment" in which the background music for Doom/Doom II is replaced (almost) completely with ambiance which will make the game more atmospheric and sinister to further convey that sense of loneliness in that "you vs. them" theme, as well as emulate what kind of level you're in (ex, computer drones and noises in E1M7), unless you're ending or starting an episode, in which a more musical track will play. Most of the ambiance is taken from the Doom 3 Alpha.
However, if you're someone that's looking for fast-paced metal or the like, this probably won't satisfy you. If you're someone who's wanting to make the game more atmospheric without using PSX music, this should be right up your alley. Art by Zoppy, originally as the Doom 20th Anniversary tribute.

Can I use this with other wads?
Sure, just as long as the wad in question doesn't contain custom music. Depending on which wad (or mod) you play, your experience may vary.
Can I use part/all of it for something I'm working on?
Of course, it's free to use!

-Intermission texts for Plutonia and TNT have been redone, as well as slight revisions of existing texts
v1.4?
-I'm planning to create separate packs of ambience for Plutonia and TNT, and place them in a separate download.
Tested it, makes DOOM I and II very atmospharic! Like PS1 Doom.
Great job man!
Love ambience as opposed to music personally, can't wait to test it out!
Isn't this HellstormArchon's work?
Look in the credits
What is intertext.wad?
I looked in the intertext wad it's just Intermission text. when you finish a doom episode.
Works great- tried it with Ultimate Doom but it's creating glitches with certain enemies & Weapons, most noticeable with Imps leaping attacks & the Rocket Launcher resets to original sprite layout.
When used with the intertextures Wad, enemies gibbed, Zombies & Imps killed from explosions, they freeze in mid air. Lights/Candles are switching between large & small sizes.
Using ZDoom (latest version), GZDoom's failing to work on my cpu so I can't use that.
Just played Knee Deep in ZDoom with this addon and it made the wad super atmospheric and really creepy. Greatly enhanced the experience. I actually felt like I was on a moon base being possessed by hell.

Some songs are from NiN's Quake OST.

Haunting and depressing; the perfect ambient soundtrack.
Since I found this mod and install it - I can't imagine any more to don't play without it ;)
I love this mod will it ever get any updates and new stuff?
Is there a YT video where I can listen to some of this before I download this?
