As mentioned in recent posts, the team is currently - due to copyright issues - moving away from the Digimon aspect of the game and will be using original monsters and concepts instead. It will still be DW1's spiritual successor, but without the digimon as to not upset copyright law.
The new project has been dubbed "Project Dark World" (an anagram of Digimon World: Project Ark with the 'igimon' part taken out), and will be similar in mechanics to Project Ark, though a different setting. The digital aspect will be replaced with a dark matter theme instead. We will share more info and have a new indiedb page very shortly.
Hey guys,
Quick site-related update for everyone. There might be a few hiccups over the next couple days or so with our site projectdarkworld.com as we've just transferred website hosts. We had quite a few problems with our old hosting provider, so hopefully we'll have a happier and longer life with iWF.
Though the registrars mention the transfer should be completed within 48 hours or so, in practice it may take a bit longer than that for all the name servers around the world to catch up with the new location of our domain. So only some users will be able to access our new host, and the rest will continue to access the old site or a Siteground page. This is fine and things should be back to normal shortly.
You can still reach us over at mailbox@projectdarkworld.com for general emails and inquiries, and if you're interested in joining the Project Dark World team and contributing in some way, please don't hesitate to get in touch at contribute@projectdarkworld.com
Thank you to everyone who subscribed so far! :-)

Alright, it's been too long. Come and catch up with where we're at.
Site landing page for PDW is up, and we have some contact emails you can reach us at.
For anyone who missed Vray's recent update vid, here's the link and some more info.
I'm still sad that project ark and project dark world are dead.

I got into digimon last month and i loved it, then i saw this, the models look awesome. i hope you guys keep going i have browsed fan games that are half done or never created or finished.and games made by companies are only on console platforms.keep it up.I am tracking this.can't wait to see how many digimon there are going to be. :D
Are you allowed to add the digimon from the series or is that copyright.if it is that's heart breaking cause i would loved to have either renamon or guilmon or aqumon or gomamon or gatomon.even if that happens im still going to play it :D

Hey, I'm having trouble with navigating to your website, I think it might have something to do with domain resolver, could you message me the ip address of your site?
Hey can I use your content and source material for a digimon moba.
I just posted this on one of the youtube vids you still have on the Project Ark channel, but I just wanted to show some support for trying to bring back life to this great game(play)!
Hey Guys, just found out you guys existed (and have been working on this for the past 8! years) and I just want to say that I think that what you guys are doing is amazing. I think it's really admirable and trying to bring such a great gaming concept back to the people. A shame Namco Bandai wasn't more cooperative with the IP but who cares, it's about the gameplay whether the toon is called agumon, or charmender or fill in any random name. Just keep on pushing, I hope all the experience you guys have learned from this process has already been well worth it. And I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact you guys don't have more support. In any case you guys have another fan right here!
What a lovely comment! I posted this to our team chat so everyone could see it :)
8 years. That's crazy to think about, though I suppose early on it started out looking like this (https://imgur.com/ognZZoZ) - we've come a long way!
Thank you for posting this, it warms the heart. It's comments like this that give us a boost and help us keep going, haha. All the best to you!
