After more than a year of mod work and bug fixes, Rampage Brutality version 1.7 (Staging Build) has finally been released. I went through a very difficult period when making this mod. At that time, I almost gave up, but with everyone's support, I still worked hard to overcome many difficulties and continued to complete the mod. This version ported all PB's weapons (including its upgraded weapons) and castrated all additional old weapons. Removed PB's pistol Burst Fire (later replaced by long press quick fire) and Minigun's Low speed mode Because it is difficult and impractical to operate on mobile devices. Different from the new version of PB, this version retains the old PB's Extractor, the Flame Cannon weapon dropped after killing Mancubus, and the Revanant and BaronoHell transformations and more. RB was developed based on the Brutal Doom V21.11.3 released in 2021. Although RB has undergone multiple modifications and the traces of BD21 have become blurred, it retains the environment system, vehicle, and test map of BD21. Therefore, you can use it to play extermination Day maps without encountering issues with missing textures and missing Actors. Additionally, you can use Rampage Brutality for multiplayer games in Zandronum3. x, such as Deathmatch and Collaboration mode. The only regret is that due to academic reasons and my poor ACS skills, I was unable to complete the original PB execution enemy scanning system, the latest dynamic HUD, and Special&Equipment Wheel. If possible, I hope someone skilled in ACS can help me complete these three functions, making Mod more practical and perfect.

This is excellent. I don't know how, but you made it work. While it's true there are some Jump Target messages that pop up on certain things, the way how everything has been ported and how well they work on Zandronum is impressive. I can't wait to play this with some friends. Great job, dude! ^^

I know you got your hands full especially with academics, but I got something to report. A rather weird bug, if you will. After playing for a bit, I noticed that the screen would freeze, but the game will continue to run. You can still move your character, you can hear enemies going on. Like the action will still be happening, but the game screen will freeze in place and you won't be able to see what's going on. Thought I let ya know.

Nice but this still needs a lot of work. Like, after I take grenade launcher and fire, the explosion effect starts slowing down the game to the point that I can't even see the sprite of the weapon. And after that game just basically works at 1 FPS. And I'm not kidding. Then there is a lot of options missing, for example those that allows you to turn ON or OFF new enemies or weapons. Heck, you can't even change the size of new hud or cross that you are aiming with. So yeah, this mod needs a lot of work. Like A LOT! Hell a lot, before it actually becomes fully playable.
And then, this might be everyone's personal preference, but the motion blur on weapons is just ridiculous and it hurts my eyes. So I would remove it and make sprites of weapons clean.
I'm very sorry for the bad gaming experience you had. Also, could you please tell me your device information and the version of the game engine you are using to help solve the problem. I think the reason for the delay caused by the howitzer firing on your device may be due to the smoke effect it carries or the number of monster gores, although the firing of the howitzer on my device did not cause this reason. My device is very old, with a memory of 3+64 and a Snapdragon 670 chip. There is no lag issue when running RB in Zandronum, and it can even play normally in some killing maps with a monster count of less than 1000. Due to technical and time constraints, I did not improve the options menu issue. I once considered adding a monster/weapon disable option. Firstly, I chose an old version of the PB3.0 script, which ran normally. Unfortunately, it could not run on Zandronum and gz1.9.1. So, I chose the PB2.03 script, which ran normally. However, it has a well-known flaw that when you play other mods in a higher version of GZDOM, all the monsters and weapons on the map will disappear and can only be resolved by resetting the game settings. I will continue to improve the previous features, it's just a matter of time. Unfortunately, I am unable to create the original execution scanning function of PB, the Weapon/Equipment special wheel function, and the Dynamic HUD built by PBStaging But ACS can achieve these, I don't know ACS, I hope there can be a Moder who is very good at ACS Script to implement these, thank you!
I'm playing via Zandronum v3.1. And my PC is too old too. 3.O Ghz dual core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 256 MB of VRAM. Running Windows 10 from SSD while everything else works from HDD. So every mod that I play runs either under Zandronum or LZDoom. And I don't have this problem with other Doom mods, like Brutal Doom v22 for example.

I love this new version of your mod, it is simply beautiful and is the closest thing to PB staging, I really appreciate your work because I know it is not easy to achieve this, you are an admirable modder. There is no more accurate version of PB...until now and I understand that you cannot implement the enemy scanning system and the HUD but those are insignificant details because they do not contribute much to the gameplay, with this version we have it is more than enough.
