Armg creates an insanely strong monsters tier 6-7 like 20-49 astral dragons on first sawmill on any difficulty except medium. Medium seems to work properly. How to fix this?

you are using the wrong exe to generate maps. Use either MMH55_Utility_64.exe or the MMH55_Editor_64.exe

You cannot have 20-49 Astral Dragons if you use the correct exe to generate maps. Refer to the guide I shared above and use the proper exe.
If indeed there is a problem please show some screenshot of the map generation settings and which exe to use so we can reproduce it!

It is still 32 bit exe with the NTCore system patch which enables the game to use up to (almost) 4GB!

Cześć, mam taki problem, nie uruchamia mi się gra , wyskakuje mi błąd "Aplikacja nie została poprawnie uruchomiona (0xc000007b). Wcześniej wyskakiwały problemy dotyczące bibliotek i po ręcznej ich instalacji ten błąd się już nie pokazuje.
mam Windows 11 Pro (wersja 64-bit).

W czym myślicie jest problem ?

The game randomly crashes since the mod's download.
These crashes happen for different reasons, such as: the interface of a mod's new hero appearing in the tavern causes the game to crash(only with some specific new heroes), doing random actions such as entering/exiting a town, starting a fight or having an NPC player end their turn sometimes result in a crash.
These do not happen everytime, however turning the game back on does not fix the issue, as the crash will occur again if the same action is performed again(such as starting the same fight that made you crash in the first place).

Hi! The issues happen because the game is launched improperly.
When the mod is installed it comes with its own exe files which should be used to start the game. MMH55_64.exe MMH55_Utility_64.exe.

If you have installed the game from GOG/STEAM and want still to log hours there. Do the following:
- Find game folder and go to BIN directory
- rename H5_game.exe to H5_game_original.exe
- copy MMH55_64.exe and paste it with name H5_game.exe
- Launch from gog/steam.

Found the bug. It triggers when one of the 3 guard stacks are defeated before Freyda goes to the fortress hall.

I made fixes to the campaign. Now it will not jam and will still continue as intended.

Download this file and put it in UserMODs.

Unfortunately it wont apply to already started games and you have to restart the mission.

Не получается сыграть полностью без "портала города". Выключаю его в спеллах настроек карты и все башни магов ограничиваю первым уровнем (игра сама почему-то добавляет еще один уровень -- это баг) и всё равно компьютерные противники через какое-то время после запуска карты начинают использовать "портал в город". Ну что за нафиг?!

The AI cannot use the advanced town portal by h55 so it is probably using the standard teleport to closest castle. If banning the spells does not block him from using it then this bug originates from ToE.

Right now,1 o clock in the evening 11th of April 2024 you can get it on steam for 2.49 euros or equivalent. Heroes V Tribes of the East Standalone/expansion. Patch it with 5.5 and you have the best HOMM experience out of all HOMM games released.

Hello. I am fairly unfamiliar with the HoMM series and this mod in particular and had a few questions regarding it.

Forgive the wordiness. I'll include a TL;DR.

HoMM 5 was a fond childhood game and I am returning to it now to try it out again. The base game was good enough but had many flaws (poorly optimized, dumb AI, easily exploitable, too easy etc.) so this mod seemed like a good way to improve the experience.

Firstly, I'd like to say that the mod is a great improvement overall, especially in QoL and new content. However, in Custom games, the AI seems to always be overpowered and aggressive no matter the settings. As early as week 3 I'll have A.I. attacking my town/area with a stacked larger army on EASIEST settings (casual, normal settings). Normal settings in the base version of HoMM 5 were the opposite, far too easy and tedious.

It's understandable if the mods easiest settings are still meant to be challenging but personally, as someone kind of new to the game, I'm finding it unplayable due to overpowered A.I. I can clear most creatures with little to no loses but as soon as I run into the A.I. opponent they wipe me unless I can stall or bug them. I love everything else this mod offers, however.

Is the challenge on easiest difficulty intentional? Or is there a setting that would allow the player to have a clear strong advantage over A.I? Have I done something wrong with mod installation or something else? The base game had the opposite problem with difficulty imo. If this is just my own issue fair enough haha but thought I'd check anyway.

TL;DR -

Is the easiest difficulty still intended to be challenging? In one save with easiest settings (casual, normal settings) and defensive A.I. I am being attacked as early as Week 3 by a significantly larger army. A setting that helps noobs learn the game would be appreciated unless I am doing something wrong.

Besides that, playing Casual mode deprives the AI from any bonuses whatsoever so its army cannot grow. The only way this may be misconfigured is if you start a game and dont like it. And instead of making a new game, you chose Restart Game. This randomize the AI setting so you may get unexpected difficulty.

Wrong installation directory. Check the guide in our tutorial section.
You need to manually provide the Heroes V game directory when installing the mod.

If you use the correct exe to launch the game MMH55_64.exe or MMH55_Utility_64.exe, then the other cause of this issue is Windows D.E.P. Disable it fully (not just game exception) and it should work fine.

Hi, I keep getting random crashes, particularly in fights, which for some reason kept happening more frequently over time. They also tend to be more frequent on larger maps.
However I do launch everything with correct .exe files, both the utility and the main launcher. What could be the reason, and is there a way to look at the mod's logs?

which exe do you use to play the game? it should be one provided by the mod - MMH55_64.exe or MMH55_Utility_64.exe. If you use Steam or GOG to launch the game that will inevitably lead to crashes and issues.

I love the work you put into this mod, but its balance feels way off. All neutral stacks are stupidly overpowered, even on lowest difficulty, and even the ones guarding wood and ore mines, so you have to lose half your army just to claim one. All strategies that minimize early creature loss like ranged units, ballista and destructive magic are nerfed into oblivion and are not viable at all anymore. For example, Iron Maiden specialization deals only 1 fire damage on the fireballs until you hit like level 10, which is just plain stupid. All neutral stacks now contain upgraded units and ranged units and other units from the same race. While it makes neutral battles slightly more interesting, it intensifies the difficulty and makes you lose even more units. It's just not balanced at all, everything is nerfed and the player just feels weak. It's not fun the play. Vanilla had some broken strategies, but they were fun to play. Instead of nerfing everything to boring mediocrity, buff the things that weren't viable.

Unlike original H5 all heroes across factions has equal start which indeed may make them look week compared to Vanilla early game.

Try lower overall map stacks count by generating a map with 'creature strength' setting set to strong or less.
