Founded in 1995, Mythic also developed Dark Age of Camelot and a number of other online games including the popular MUD Dragon's Gate and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
Purchased by Electronic Arts on June 20, 2006, and shut down by EA on May 29, 2014. The beginning of the end was when EA with its odd logic, decided to make Mythic entertainment work on Dungeon Keeper mobile, pushing it to have micro-transactions in a way annoys the player into dishing out money on a regular basis. Having its reputation ruined, EA decides to shutdown that company.
