Major Features
Dead corpses stay, artillery range increased, pop cap increased, new units, each side has one hero unit.
Crazy stuff can be deactivated in the reward menu.

----------------------------------- Installation ----------------------------------
1) Delete any previous version of the NHCmod
2) Execute and follow the instruction of the installer
3) Just Click on the shortcut created on your desktop to play the mod!
4) Do not forget to choose what units you want to activate/deactivate in the reward menu
Advice: It is recommended to defrag your Disk after installation for better performance.
From time to time, it would be useful to clear the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\My documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\LogFiles
For old CD/DVD users:
If the .bat does not work for unknown reason try to create your own shortcut:
- Create a shortcut of relicCOH.exe- Right-click on the shortcut and go to "Properies"
- In the Shortcut tab change the Target line by adding the following command after the brackets:
"-mod NHCTOV -dev" (without the brackets)
ex: "C:\program files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe" - mod NHCTOV -dev
- Use this shortcut to start the mod
uninstallation: just click on the uninstaller
If you have the error message "Game is not being run as a known company of heroes product. try again by launching from steam" :
It may be because you have an antivirus that prevent the bat files to run the command "RelicCOH.exe -mod NHCToV -dev".
To go around that, make sure the mod was installed in the right folder, on the launching options from steam,
In library > on the left menu of your game list, right-click on company of heroes > property > general > define launching option you can add the command
-mod NHCToV -dev
or
-mod Combiner_Beta -dev for the combiner
This would run the mod. You would have to remove that command for running other mods.
If the game crashes with a report to Relic before getting to the main menu. It means that there is a conflict with another mod.
The easiest way to solve it is to delete the other mods. The other is to find the .ucs in the folders:
CoH\Locale\English
CoH\Engine\Locale\English
RelicOnline\Locale\English
that is not made by Relic (i.e. by the bad mod) and move it apart.
DISCLAIMER about the combiner for EF 3.4 : Something is wrong with EF AI for the British faction. You can play as the British but when playing with or against it, it can crash by causing fatal AI error. If that happens, just pause the game with "F10" or "PAUSE" and then come back to finish the game. I won't fix EF codes.

- Powell in infantry only mode can be upgraded with his improved Thompson
- New weapon upgrades for Highlanders : Sten weapon package, Bren weapon package, Boys AT Rifle Package
- New symbol and icon for Highlanders.
- Sten submachine guns now have suppression effect like the mp40 (it was 0 in the original game)
- Fixed bug from upgrade\allies_cw\commonwealth_building_economy_upgrade.rgd that was 'weapon_package' instead of 'unit_upgrade_panel'
- "Tread Breaker" ability target filter changed from type_unit_class\vehicle_self_propelled.lua to type_unit_class\vehicle.lua
- Royal Engineers get +20% weapon penetration bonus and 10% cooldown reduction bonus
- Royal Engineers can be upgraded with flamethrower and PIAT
- Canadian infantry can be upgraded with flamethrower
- Fix scar error in the map "Joint Ops : Defend the town"
- Axis AI will call in new units (Maus, Jagtiger, Elefant, Tiger Ace 205, ...) like humans instead of building them

i don't see the option for the Royal Engineers to be upgraded with flamethrower
or the Canadian infantry to be upgraded with flamethrower.
the other weapons package for canadian infantry is there (sten and boys at rifle.)
i usually play scrimmage.
am i missing something?

The Canadian infantry are not the Highlanders. Only the Highlanders can be upgraded with the Sten package. They are not Canadian. The Canadian infantry can only be called by the Radio. The Royal Engineers are not the sappers. Royal Engineers can only be called in with the 3rd commander tech tree (the one with the Churchill). Are you sure you are playing with the right units?

Hello, great mod! I have a problem using the combiner tho.
I get the Fatal AI error - Execution paused and I have no idea how to fix it, tryed to nuke the game by uninstall and reinstall, nuked the Eastern Front mod too, redownload the mod and install but it didn't work :\

hey ab2531...have done according to the instructions but cant get how to call the jadgtiger in Wehrmacht...please help. In the Kampfkraft center there are no options nor can the officer call it
The combiner was not fully updated, sorry. Please download again the file and reinstall the mod and the combiner.

In a previous edition I wasn't able to build any Dragon's Teeth or heavy Roadblocks. Just checking if this seems to be an error and I should try to reinstall.
Make a clean install:
Delete previous versions and the folders NHCToV and Combiner_beta
Download the file again
Run the installer to install the mod and the combiner

Good day Creator of the mod, the new flying vehicle, i'll just call it the UFO fires missing blue boxes, even the Kampkraft Centre (Bot Version) is also a Blue Box. Is there a way to fix it? i Think it's only happening to me.
Update your Company of Heroes version and make a clean install of the mod:
Delete previous versions and the folders NHCToV and Combiner_beta
Download the file again
Run the installer to install the mod and the combiner
Good day, really liked your mod so much and having no problems so far since discovering your mod. However, when I updated my game to the latest Version, the game no longer functions as normal. For instance, I chose a faction (anything except the British due to issues on EF), selected "Infantry Mode" only or other modes except Victory Mode Point, and when it starts, it always says: Fatal AI Error and the game is always set on "Victory Mode Point". Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the issue remained the same, as well as defragging the disk every installation.
Also, when I choose the standard NHC ToV, the game is broken with all options and buttons shows as "985412$". Any other troubleshooting I can do aside from uninstalling and installing? Thanks! will continue to stay awake for updates. Cheers Fam!

If you see 985412$ everywhere in my mod your simply the base game, it means that your the "locale" files of your Company of Heroes are missing. I don't know what happened with your EF update but your Company of Heroes is now broken and you need to reinstall it.

Dear author,
After installing the "m" version of the mod - my game refuse to launch by any type of execute. But that wasn't my first problem: after discovering the new version - i tried very hard to uninstall the previous version, but unsuccessable - procces everytime cancelled by task manager.
After many and many tries i fuly delete all CoH folder, including deleting EF and other mods. Then i download CoH and EF, launch them and just after that - install "m" version.
Everything was pretty awesome, but i CAN'T launch Combiner despite all of your instuctions to delete any previous files of "conflicting mods" (i can't 'cause i've already deleted full folder and my game is now clean and pure, like baby soul, lol) - not working.
NHC with just CoH - works very well, that's why i thanks for the work you've done.
Maybe i just missed similar comment, but be very glad if you give me some feedback.

This combiner is for EF 3.4. the current EF version is 3.5 and is incompatible.

ab2531 Using this mod with EF 3.5, I looked at the warnings.log and it seems to be terminating at a FATAL EXIT on a specific warning: "could not load the EasternFront UCS (EasternFront\Locale\English\RelicCOH.English.ucs) file due to overlapping range with the CoH UCS (CoH\Engine\Locale\English\RelicCOH.English.ucs) file"
I compared the two files and found just one difference; the EasternFront UCS has some additional difficulties, like "CPU - Insane" etc.
I deleted those 6 or 7 lines and made the files identical, but was still getting the same crash.
However, if I remove (temporarily rename) either one of the 2 files so there is no conflict and only allow one of the 2 UCS files to load, everything seems to load and work fine.
Essentially, I renamed "CoH\Engine\Locale\English\RelicCOH.English.ucs" temporarily and only allowed the "EasternFront\Locale\English\RelicCOH.English.ucs" file to load. There are no errors or warnings and Company of Heroes launches fine; I do see the Eastern Front splash page at the main menu as well.
It looks like doing this works, but I'm not fully sure about the impact of loading one or the other UCS files only, and not both. So I just wanted to share this with you, especially if this might resolve the incompatibility.
Please, do not do that. You should never touch the files in the original game folder because it will **** up the original game and all other mods and you are good to reinstall the whole game. The correct way to fix it is to modify the module Combiner_beta.module by removing the locale to the engine to read only the ucs of NHCmod and EF. It is a relatively easy fix but I could not upload it before my computer died.
Aha!! I gotcha. Thanks so much for letting me know. I’ll put the originals back and modify the Combiner module.

I restored the original UCS file in "CoH\Engine\Locale\English\RelicCOH.English.ucs"
Only the following was changed in Combiner_Beta.module:
I removed the "folder.02" line reading the UCS file in "CoH\Locale\English", and fixed the number incrementation on the folders.
Before:
[locale:english]
folder.01 = CoH\Locale\English
folder.02 = CoH\Engine\Locale\English
folder.03 = RelicOnline\Locale\English
folder.04 = EasternFront\Locale\English
folder.05 = NHCToV\Locale\English
folder.06 = JointOps\Locale\English
After:
[locale:english]
folder.01 = CoH\Locale\English
folder.02 = RelicOnline\Locale\English
folder.03 = EasternFront\Locale\English
folder.04 = NHCToV\Locale\English
folder.05 = JointOps\Locale\English
Now its working perfectly!

Congratulations ! It should however still have some scar errors for EF 3.5. There is still a file named luaconsts.scar in Combiner_Beta_3.4\Data\scar that you should either update or delete to fix them. Then to completely update the combiner, you have to update all the victory conditions and the rgd files for each faction. Thankfully I now have a working computer (not a great one, it's more than 8 years old...), and I will be able to make an update of the Combiner soon.

Your work is amazing. I don’t think most folks realize the amount of work which goes into these mods and the lines of code and number of files with need to be modified.

Thanks! Yes, it is a lot of work. Just in term of coding there are more than 2500 files with each between 50-500 lines of codes. Anyway, the update is here:
