When I load my old save I just get incessant script errors and I can't move my party anywhere. It's a shame this mod won't be continued; it would be nice to see some sort of proper multiplayer implementation, or integration of something like Battle Time so my friends and I could conquer Europe together.

Alright, what you need to do is grab the development build of gzdoom from here, latest one posted on June 4th: Devbuilds.drdteam.org

Extract that, and within you'll have gzdoom.exe. In the settings tab of ZDL, press Add under source ports/engines, give it a name (doesn't matter what you name it), and then press Browse and point it to the gzdoom.exe you just downloaded. Go back to the main tab, then select the source port you just added in the upper right. Make sure an IWAD is selected. If you need more detailed instructions, there's a "Project Brutality Guide" included in the project brutality download that has fairly detailed install instructions. If you follow those, you should be all set.

Is your GZDoom updated to 2.0 or higher?

This is awesome, but is there any way we could get the slow movement speed of the hardest difficulty as an option for lower difficulties as well? I like the more realistic movement, but I don't like being swarmed by demons

Haunting and depressing; the perfect ambient soundtrack.

A couple things I forgot to mention! Firstly, the only two classes capable of being selected in multiplayer are assault and random. Secondly, the assault player sprite doesn't seem to have any shooting or damage frames, causing whoever's shooting or getting damaged to vanish. Thirdly, in multiplayer sometimes when a player inadvertently kills themselves via a close-range grenade, the entire game will crash for them and the other players on the server will become frozen in place, unable to continue. The effect can be seen here: Youtu.be

I've been playing a lot of this, myself; it is one of the best Aliens mods out there, and even tops seemingly most of the official Aliens games - so great job on that! I do have a few criticisms, however. (Do note that this is a really shortened version of my post as I have to work with the 2000 character limit, so apologies if any of it seems terse.)

1. I think the music needs to be more consistent. It's eighties action-game one minute and weird horror game with a guy doing a cliche evil laugh in the background the next.

2. Friendly marines should be optional; they're too effective at clearing rooms before I even get there.

3. There's too much acid splatter. Killing two to three aliens practically fills an entire room.

4. While the acid blood needs to be less in volume, I think it should be more deadly (perhaps scaling with difficulty). In the films it's highly corrosive and ofttimes fatal, and I shouldn't be able to wade through the stuff and just take a couple hitpoints of damage.

5. GZdoom is the absolute /worst/ for multiplayer; I can't even begin to list all the problems I get when playing with a friend via ZDL. If this could be ported to Zandronum, that would be fantastic.

6. I run out of ammo too often simply because most of the pickups are for a sniper rifle that I don't even have.

Other than that, I'm loving the mod so far. ^^ keep up the great work!

Also, what happened to the entry for this on the Brutal Doom page? It was there yesterday but now it's gone, and loving this as much as I do, I'm concerned.
