Looks more like the real Helix though.

How do we get access to the "Sexy Robots" haha.

The description states that promotion is required but I can't seem to work it out.

Hey.

I'm playing an older version of CONTRA. How can I deactivate/remove the fog effect at the top of the screen?

Bloody hell that's worked well. Cheers Vector.

Still a few aliasing issues but my monitor is a bit of a pile of junk so theres only so much that can be done.

Again, amazing mod !

Is there a way I can download the latest version without GenLauncher?

This could be a user issue...
But all the textures are blurry when zoomed out (even default zoom).
Is there anyway to fix this? I have turned DynamicLOD off (double checked ini files too).

Aside from that. The mod is running brilliantly and it might have become my favourite.

Any ideas?

Tried to create an account on SWR forums to download 1.87 PB2.0 and admin has disabled new user registration.

How can I download 1.87 PB 2.0 (would not like to use genpatcher...)

Hello.
Having issues running the mod from external SSD. I think its an issue with windows locating the .bat files. Any idea how to fix.

Every other mod seems to run fine.

Yes and no.

Firstly, you should either have a copy of generals for each modded install, unless you use GenLauncher.

Changing editing options.ini can affect every mod as it pulls from then same ini file in the data folder in documents. The best thing to do is edit your options.ini file and just back it up in case something goes wrong.

Actually been able to get this working on my potato somehow and I'm really impressed. It's great to see another mod more in line with CWC and VGO in terms of gameplay depth with a veneer of realism.

I can see you are doing bug reporting.
Only issues I have had is buildings not being built correctly. For example, instructing a constructor unit to build a building, they move to the site but no scaffolding is raised and therefore the building process doesn't start.

Aside from that. Truly amazing work and well worth the wait.

There is an option to disable Gentool in GenLauncher. Would this help or would just the presence of the GenTool .dll files cause issues?

I'm having a few issues.
First issue os that across the mods I have installed through GenLauncher certain units seem to be missing voice files.
This seems to be at random.

Secondly I'm having weird issues like entire build trees missing. (I installed an older version of ROTR and the entire Russian airforce is missing. I can build an airfield and there is no option to build any units. The respective structures build menu is completely blank).

I have noticed some weirdness with patches and addons, like they arent fully deactivating. For example, the Control Bar pro for certain mods seems to cause issues playing older versions even though I have deselected it from the addons.

Any ideas?

Tony_Drandretti - - 19 comments @ 1.0.0 Release Details: New Infantry Content & Mechanics

This looks awesome.

Aside from CWC, Enhanced was the only mod that scratched my itch for C&C with a veneer of realism (finally got 0.9 working again, it seems to be horsepower issue).

This is looking really good. There are few mods that focus on adding mechanical depth. I can't wait for the full release.

As an aside I do have questions (with some feedback).

Firstly, with adding Enhanced to GenLauncher how will we be able to adjust game options to optimise performance beyond the standard GenLauncher options? I have played most of the significant ZH mods out there and Enhanced is pretty much the only one that pushes SAGE hard with the graphical changes/additions and resultantly player machines. As Enhanced incorporates bloom and other more taxing visual features that are unique among most mods how will we adjust this barring messing around in the ini? GenLauncher uses the same ini file for all installed mods and I have been getting around this by having my own cloned ini file I wheel out when I want to play Enhanced.

Secondly, if you can please do incorporate some guidance surrounding new features and troubleshooting in a short readme (I'm aware I might be one of the few aliens that actually reads them). For example what additions require the most power and what should players be looking at specifically to adjust first if they have issues. In my case as a proud potato machine owner it seems to be overall resolution and particle count which I suspect is making my GPU cry and gobbling up all it's VRAM.

Despite all the above I'm looking forward to the release and will still be downloading 1.0 on my trusty potato if possible haha.

Tony_Drandretti - - 19 comments @ Rise of the Reds: HanPatch

You need to use the "Patches" or "Addons" for ROTR. Rather than pick from the list and install; you need to add the files manually.

What I recommend you do is:

*Optional* Delete Hanpatch from GenLauncher and redownload with the Easter Egg files manually (see below).

1. Download the Easter Eggs files and save them to a new folder.
2. Open that folder and compress/zip the Easter Eggs files to desktop.
3. Open GenLauncher and click on ROTR. Then navigate to patches and click "Add Patch for Rise of The Reds from files".
4. Then select the zip folder with the Easter Eggs files, this will add them to GenLauncher and you can play.

*If you did delete HanPatch and download manually, ensure to follow the above steps by downloading both HanPatch v31.3 and the Easter Egg to the same folder and compress them together.*

The reason you might want to initially to delete HanPatch is that the Easter Egg units have dependencies on HanPatch. You might have noticed once downloaded patches and addons can be "turned on and off". If you install the Easter Egg unts seperately you will need to ensure both HanPatch and the Easter Egg unit patches are active or the game will crash.

This is why I deleted HanPatch and installed the files together so then I had one patch with all content that I could turn on and off without issue.

Enjoy!

Thanks for your response.
I will start by checking those INI changes and maybe having a mess around with some effects. I reduced everything to 0 and it the mod seemed to work smoothly (including AI pathfinding and movement) despite my screen looking like a QR code. So, there is something or some effects that is troubling my machine.
Weirdly I can only get ZH mods to work via GenLauncher. Classic copy and paste of ZH directory don’t seem to work. But as all GenLauncher installed mods pull from the same core INI data files I may have to create an Enhanced INI file I can pop in any time I want to play enhanced.
Not the end of the world; if it works - it works.
Just watched the trailer for the latest version and it is looking damn good. Makes me think of many of the “modern warfare” zero hour mods like TEOD but with functionality and gameplay/combat style similar to CWC which is right up my street.
Looking good dude.

I got it working through importing the mod via GenLauncher following GenPatcher.
I love the mod but I'm having issues.
Has there been much work to the AI in this mod?
Initially the mod was working but there seemed to be some sort of failure with pathfinding. Essentially enemy infantry and vehicles would be “stuck in place” running on the spot. Animations and sound effects would be playing without movement.
I fixed this by using FinalBig to extract the scripts in the mod files and then set up a new data folder within the Zero Hour Enhanced install location.
This worked however it seemed to default to vanilla generals AI and the mod was working well but it always crashes 10-15 minutes into every game (not a Serious Error crash, more like stuttering and chugging).
My machine isn’t the best in the world, but do you have any ideas what could be going on? Any files I could remove that could be causing the crashes?
I still think the mod is great. Looking forward to the official GenLauncher release.

The AI for the latest version seems a bit mad.
On normal it builds a barracks and like 3 soldiers.

On hard it has infinite $, builds huge tank blobs 5 superweapons and just smokes me. Is this intended? (Yes I suck).

Before I go downloading and installing anything. I have just came back to Zero Hour after a 7 year hiatus and had to install Zero Hour with the TFD Patch and GenPatch to get the game to run on a Windows 11 machine. Will this mod work on a Zero Hour that has been patched with GenPatch. I assume not but I do want to get back onto this mod.
