Hey guys, I'm AL88 and I bring you my way of playing Vanilla Doom: "AL_Doom88". I am not a modder, what I did was to mix some WADs made by third parties to create my own gameplay (the entirely list of WADs that I used and the thanks giving are in "download session"). My idea was to combine my favorite game features in the 3 main versions of Doom that I usually play (PSX, PC, N64) to give light to a creepy and dark Vanilla experience. "AL_Doom88" brings: Map textures and weapon sprites from Doom 64; Introduction screen, fonts, soundtrack and sound effects for PSX Doom; Super Shotgun and the enemies of Doom II (if you playing The Ultimate Doom); Status Bar in widescreen, without that strange green marble on the sides; Flashlight. To play just download the zip file "AL_Doom88" and drag it into the engine (I usually use LZDoom), or in the external ZDL files area (I do it this way). Well, I hope you enjoy the experience.

Description

Unlike the other two MODs, this one was created to provide a Doom 64 experience on the PC Doom, however, in "AL" Vanilla style: even more creepy and dark than the original. This MOD features: menus, fonts, weapon and enemy sprites (except Ravenant and Archville), as well as textures from Doom 64; PSX soundtrack; Flashlight. To play, just download and extract the zip file, and then drag it to your preferred engine (I use LZDoom), or to the external files area of the ZDL. I suggest that the "light mode sector" (options / display / opengl / light mode sector) meets the "Legacy" option, or similar, as the MOD itself is already quite dark. Hope you like it!

I'm not a modder and I didn't program the features of this MOD, what I did was just to idealize, mix and test it, so I would like to thank the authors of these WADS: D64Stuff, Doom 64-PSX. I don't know your names, but without you, I wouldn't have created my own experience on The Ultimate Doom.
