Now we just need some expansion addons for outfits, weapons and artifacts and we'll be good to go (maybe even somebody will make a Misery version of this mod with tons of miscellaneous items, including meds, food, repair kits etc.)
I think the coc addons work here as well as long as it doenst overwrite the call of the zone stuff if im correct ?
There isn't much that wouldn't overwrite the CoTZ stuff at this point. There were quite a lot of changes between CoC and CoTZ.
It shouldn't be too hard to update the existing addons to make them compatible with CoTZ though. The addons page for CoTZ is now up and running for anyone who wants to post their addons.

No, Call of The Zone and Anomaly are two distinctly different games.

Yep. Everything you need is included in the download, other than the VC++ and DirectX runtimes from Microsoft (see readme for details).
Hm I downloaded the game, unzipped it, and tried to launch it, and it only showed the loading screen then made error noise and not launching, any idea on how to solve this issue? anyone?
Make sure you installed the required VC++ and DirectX runtimes (see readme file for details)
And make sure to install it into it's own folder (not on top of CoC or CoP), and not inside the Windows \Program Files or \Program Files (x86) folders.

#Positive sides:
This is a overall good mod, good balance even on Master difficulty + Hardcore AI Aim. The only way to make actual money is through artifact hunting, witch are scarce and few. The enemies/mutants are killable no matter their rank or size.
#Negative sides:
All the Traders are WAAAAY to limited when it comes to the stuff their selling. When in the scene are too many AI (characters and/or mutants) the fps drops like a rock. The minimap + sound/detection meter need to be re-enable into the game. Many regions are too barren (population mutants 0,25/population stalkers 1). Although i have max. psi protection on my armour, i can't go to some areas because "Dangerous psi emission levels. Protection required to go further."....

Regarding traders: The quality and quantity of the loot they are willing to trade with you is dependent on your reputation, and when the traders last resupply was.
To get into the areas where you get the psi warning, you need a special piece of equipment which you will get during the course of the storyline. Regular psi-block and screening on your outfit alone aren't adequate protection against the large psi fields in the Zone.
Please elaborate as to what you found "broken" with the tasks you listed. They were working fine in all my tests.
-Bloodsucker lair: couldn't find at all the 2nd key. Checked all he stashes on all the cars.
-Transistors for Sherman: searched all the buildings - no transistors.
Bloodsucker lair: You checked all the cars in the convoy on the bridge. Note the bridge is partially collapsed. I wonder if something fell down there?
Transistors: If you have trouble finding them, you can hire an npc to help you search.

I actually like the old weapon selection as it's nostalgic and simple. I also like the improved effectiveness of pistols in the game. I've always liked pistols and thought they were too underpowered in most Stalker games. These seem right and are a fun addition to the game.
The mugging feature was quite a surprise. It also presents a fun challenge.

I notice a patch for CoTZ but am confused by the description:
It says it's for the game, but not the full game. Is this game I've downloaded from the link above the "full game" and not "the game" that is referred to in the patch description?
I'm wondering if I need to apply the patch to the above download to make it ver 1.1?
Yup, install CoTZ 1.0 from the download link on this page (which I'm assuming you already did), then download the 1.1 patch and drop those files into your CoTZ 1.0 install location.

Also, I'm curious about the parameters for a mugging? I seem to get mugged a lot and wonder if that's in lieu of being killed outright? I ask this because it happens without given a chance to heal first from taking a hit?

Is this what you're referring to? It means the download for the 1.1 patch does not contain all the files for the full game of CoTZ, they have to be applied to the CoTZ 1.0 version. Some people just visiting here for the first time might just download the 1.1 patch and think it is the "full game", and wonder why nothing is happening.
Mugging is a random chance that occurs when you get hurt bad enough from an enemy attack that you otherwise would have died. The actual probablility for it occuring is tuned for Master difficulty with medium body armor, and should be rather infrequent compared to dying outright. If you play on a lower difficulty level, or have a lot of body armor, it can happen more frequently.
Due to the randomness of it, it sometimes can seem like it's happening all the time, or like it never happens. It's all up to fate. I know whenever I'm trying to test it, it seems like it never happens lol.

Ok, think I'll need to select Master difficulty since it can happen more frequently on a lower level. I usually play on "Stalker" level and had it happen 3 times in a row while attacking the Bandit camp for Beard. The mugging has taught me to not be too attached to my stuff as I rarely find it again, and when I do, it's always been wreaked by the muggers.

Where is the heads up display, also game crashed in the Cordon walking under bridge where the overtuned jeep is, cant post error, dont know where the log files are.
