Aperture Science has been struggling to create new technologies lately, and the government's decision to withdraw funding if they don't develop new tech hasn't been helping. The Core And Subject Special Initiative Engineer Core (C.A.S.S.I.E.) decided to look deeper in the Aperture Science Perpetual Testing Initiative, and thus the Aperture Science Deep Multiverse Exploration Testing Initiative was born. The goal of this initiative is to explore farther into the Multiverse to discover and research new technologies, without the need to allocate tons of resources into research and development.
