28th of August 1914. Your name is Ulrich Winter, a young German who signed up to fight for your country. You're aboard the SMS Cöln, a light cruiser ship, when superior British forces attack, sinking the cruiser. You and a dozen other men board a cutter boat, only for it to sink from heavy fire and debris. As you descend into the water, all the noise is silenced. You clutch the ruby amulet your grandfather gifted to you as a young boy. Then, you hear a beautiful song coming from the dark murky depths. In a trance, you let yourself descend into the dark water. Just before you realize that you're about to drown, you wake up in a strange new world.

This is my entry for Frictional's fan_jam. My mini custom story (Total Conversion)
Dark Craft Studios Presents The Shadow of the Ramlord, a story-first Lovecraftian Horror Custom Story.
" No one in living memory can comprehend the language of the gods, but perhaps a chance encounter with a cosmic soothsayer can lead to some vague understanding...
Total Conversion (mod) for the game Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Penumbra: Necrologue is a continuation of the Penumbra series made by Frictional Games...
Illusions of the Dead has finally been released! Illusions of the Dead (IOTD) is an Amnesia: The Dark Descent custom story that has been released August...
This looks like a really good and unique Amnesia mod. Seeing the trailer, I really like the lighting and overall design of the levels. I am more than excited to play this when it releases. Keep up the good work.
To the creator of this, please take heed: You really have something going here, you've definitely got atmosphere and you've got an interesting premise to boot. Continually expand upon it and keep at it. Its been quite a while since I've seen a unique custom story that's got my attention, you got me hooked.
Thanks! I wanted to make a custom story that feels a bit like the main game, but with a lot more details in the level design. The soundtrack will also be fully produced by me and I'm trying my best to make it sound like The Dark Descent's music and a little like Dark Souls' soundtrack. Putting level design and music aside, my goal is also to make a very unsettling gameplay experience.
I really like those purple vibes in the chalice room and around, hope to see more atmosphere like that, following!
Thank you! And if you were wondering, I did give credit for using your chalice model. I was also thinking of making some blood-red torches that cast shadows as well.
I didn't even notice lol :D feel free to use anything I created. also good idea, just be aware of those cast shadows having a huge impact on fps!
Oh, trust me, I know. I use a pointlight-only version of the torches in bigger areas. I try to be sparing on particles, decals, and spotlights, but I'll use them when I think they'll work well for an area.
