Announcement: At the time of writing this I have lost motivation to work on this mod, & I haven't played Iron Harvest in a while. I admit it wouldn't take that long to update this mod, however I'd want to update it because I wanted to, not because I'd feel obligated to. Please keep in mind that unlike some people, modding isn't a hobby of mine; I simply made a small mod and wanted to share it. Overall: It's possible that I might update this in the future, but probably not.
This mod is heavily built off of "yaya's" work and their original mod. NOTE: Since it is based off of their work I asked for their permission to upload this mod, they said yes. Check them out here: Moddb.com or here: Steamcommunity.com

This mod transforms the Saxonian faction into Tesla's by adding Tesla's units and removing nearly all of Saxony's default units. The goal of this mod is to add Tesla's faction in Skirmish and Multiplayer matches for unique and interesting but balanced and fair battles.
This mod is still early in development, the current goal is to add new features and fix bugs (I'll focus on balance mostly in the beta phase). Please provide feedback and info on what you think should be changed or added.
(Please note that this is my very first mod, so it is far from perfect and many things can be improved.)

Taking a wild guess and saying it won't work with the current update?
I don't have the DLC so I cannot test it with my mod, but it's pretty safe to say it won't work. Of course by now normal updates might have broken it.
Good morning friend
Download your mod together with a friend to be able to play multiplayer against each other and against the COM.
I created the game and when I invited him and he accepted he got an error. We thought the mod was not working and decided to wait for you to release a new version.
We followed the uninstall steps and when we tried to join a game the same error appeared. We uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and it still appears. Please can you help us?
If the mod works we would like to try it. When installing it we followed the steps in the readme.
The error states:
A checksum match error has been detected. Make sure your game files have not been modified.

Does the mod work in singleplayer for both of you? If so, then perhaps multiplayer is hard coded to not work with mods at all. I've yet to test my mod in multiplayer, so for now I'll remove the multiplayer tags to be safe.

Don't worry, we will gladly test your mod when it works in multiplayer. As I told you, once we uninstalled the mod, it still gives us the same problem, not being able to play in multiplayer. We tried to uninstall the game and reinstall it but the problem is still there. So currently with and without mod we can not play multiplayer.
We need help with that, or if you read me, we ask for help from anyone with a similar problem.
To put it another way, your mod has broken our multiplayer mode, help!!! hahaha!

Ah, I understand your problem now. I quickly uninstalled my mod and tried public multiplayer and it worked. Have either of you tried testing public multiplayer? If not, perhaps you could test it to make sure if it's all multiplayer or just invites to specific multiplayer lobbies.
I'm sorry that my mod has caused this problem, I hope I can help fix it.

Thank you for letting me know, I've made a quick fix so the mod works again (although at a compromise).
