Battle Cry of Freedom, brings brutal real-time first and third person combat set in the 19th Century America, presenting players with the opportunity to re-fight the American Civil War as either the Union or the Confederates. It features a wide range of Troop Types, ranging from the common soldiers to musicians and artillery, all with their own purpose and tasks.
The Second alpha Playtest for Over The Top: WWI is now live! The Olaytest will last from the Saturday the 25th May at 16:00 Berlin (24:00 Sydney, 10:00 New York) and will end on the 26th May at 06:00 Berlin.

Here are the most important changes between the last Playtest from the 14th of April and this Playtest.
4 New Vehicles
We added 4 new vehicles to the game. Each Faction now has access to an Armored Car and a Transport Vehicle.
Armored Cars
Armored Cars are even faster than light tanks and are equipped with a heavy machine gun turret. However they are only lightly armored and can be destroyed quickly.
Transport Vehicles
Transport vehicles are capable of transporting up to 12 troops plus one drive. They are very fast but lack any kind of armor, so be on the look out for enemy gun emplacements.
First Person Camera
One of the most requested feature was the addition of first person to the game. You can now enter first person by pressing V.
New Uniforms
The German Officer and the German Heavy Gunner have received entirely new uniforms.
New Maps
This playtest will feature two new maps. Both maps are set in the early stages of the war and feature only a few trenches, so you better get your shovels ready!

Vehicle User Interface
We have implemented a new Vehicle User Interface. Located to the bottom left next to the health bar, you will now be able to tell which direction your gun is facing and which seat corresponds to which gun.
Player on Player collision
To prevent players from blocking entryways and getting stuck in tight places such as tunnels, staircases or trenches, players within the same team will no longer collide with each other. Players from opposite teams however will still collide. Players that are bleeding out will also no longer prevent players from moving over them.
Other Changes
We added a ton of other smaller changes and additions. Here are the most important of them:
Visible Map Borders
We made map borders slowly blend in the closer you get to them, notifying you of their existence.
Reloading Changes
Clicking any Mouse-Button while not reloaded will now automatically reload your rifle, preventing you from aiming your rifle if unloaded.
Grenade Perk and Explosions
The Grenade Perk now also improves the damage output of any grenades you throw and you can throw them slightly further. Explosions will now also no longer damage you through the ground.
Spawn Protection Zones
We implemented a Spawn Protection Zone system that prevents enemy players from entering your spawn area and spawn killing players. It will notify players entering a zone by the screen turning grey.
Machine Gun Fire Rate
We uncoupled the MG fire-rate from your ping, meaning that no matter how high or low your ping, machine guns will now always fire the same speed.
Turn off HUD
Pressing H will now turn off/on your user interface.

So, it's effectively Holdfast, but set in the American Civil War and made by the guys that were kicked off the Holdfast team? And no, I'm not trying to be disrespectful, just want to get some reference.
Hi. Made an account just to reply to this. Bcof is a bit more complex mechanically than holdfast is. Proper shooting ballistics, a way greater variety of weapons, and much more advanced AI to name a few things.
They were not kicked off the Holdfast team though. Rather it's a pretty tragic tale of the end of a friendship. Olaf and Refleax used to be great friends. While Olaf was working on Holdfast with AGS, he was also working on bcof and even sold bcof assets to AGS for use in Holdfast. However, Refleax refused to pay Olaf for the assets which led to the fight and ultimate departure of Olaf from AGS. In doing this, Refleax stole the steam groups for FSE and threatened to sue over a whole bunch of things. In the end, I know FSE got their steam groups back but I'm not sure if payment was ever sent for the purchased assets. Overall it was a bad split of friends over money in the end.
Change name of the game. It's stupid and easy to forget.
