Alright game, it's broken but fun to play

This mod is nice, i like the map work. It's fun and that's about it i can say, this is a demo after all. Il get to the issues

-Just use the default animations, seriously the pistol could have just used the vanilla pistol animations.

-Some of the map design wasn't good, there was a section with turrets to the left and a door that i didn't see so i thought i had to fight them, i got my *** kicked. There wasn't a hint that i had to go through there and not kill them. It was much more harder than black mesa and i was playing on normal

-I know this is a mod but this is really minor, The start feels really weird, not alot of scripted sequences or people to talk to.

There were a few bugs i encountered so here they are:

-The protag has a few weird lines, he says "Nice, Ammo" when you run out of ammo... What?

-I heard this mod had some optimization problems which i did see only in few sections.

-The picking up armor sound effect is scuffed, It will break your ears for half a second. Atleast for me

That's about it, This mod is not bad but not good. I hope that the final release will be good and i have hopes for it

This the best i can do. The map looks alright, its a slaughtermap alright with a custom enemy sprite, but the way you act in the comment section with saying that john romero is with you being disapointed is soo dumb.

Pretty neat concept. Really well played but has alot of flaws, get them fixed and its 9/10, il give ita 10 if the gameplay is really smooth and satisfiying.

It's great. Although it adds more and more enemies to the game, it still manages to keep combat satisfying rather than overwhelming and frustrating, and I love the new weapon models, especially the Nail Gun!
I like the inclusion of monsters from Arcane Dimensions and new bosses for Episodes 2 and 3, which is what the vanilla game was lacking, so props for that!
I personally also don't mind kicking mechanic and proximity grenades, but I feel like the flashlight is kind of redundant.
The only real complaint though is that framerate can sometimes drop drastically, but otherwise it's a great mod.

(you can do hl2 vanilla maps but update is much better to use)

Things that are bad:

-Highway 17 isnt completable due to a bug on the bridge where it thinks you fell so it reloads the newest save (fixed in 1.1)

How was it?

Awesome mod! finished hl2, ep1, and almost ep2. I cannot go back to vanilla anymore.

I rate it a 10/10! personal favorite, you can see the love and passion put into this thing. for 9 YEARS. Mod of the Year for me for sure!

Amazing.

Good

+Big maps
+Great Puzzles
+Amazing ideas
+Looks good
+Great ending
+Unique and amazing sequences (The place feels alive! and makes you feel bad for the characters)

Bad

-Bad g-man model, (dosent fit with the other npcs in my opinion)
-Crashes and performance issues (I didnt really have any crashes but from what i heard its bad)

Overall:

Great mod! I had alot of fun playing this, if you love half-life and want more this is the mod for you! i had some great laughs like that one easter egg which i am not going to say, Some puzzles for me were confusing but got ever because of my stupidity(didnt use a walkthrough)

Is it mod of the year? i think so! there are other mods that are really good just like this one.
