This mod is amazing! Didn't expect a remaster for it. I hope you will balance the difficulty so the enemies won't be instakill sponges. The subtitles and terminals, depending on the language you choose, and the resolution setting you use, get all messy on the screen. Fixing bugs and making QoL improvements can make this mod a lot better, I wish you good luck with the project!

Hello mate, thank you for checking the translation! I decided to leave it like that because here in Brazil we too watch DuckTales, the name isn't translated here. I didn't have a good Brazilian reference in mind, and since it's not an official translation, I decided to leave it unchanged, since it's a pretty nice reference anyway.

Played the demo and was pretty cool, just want to point out some problems and bugs I had:

Tripmines floating on the walls.

Flashlight dropping my fps by half, I hope you'll optimize it and give us some options to turn off the shadows and anything that can cause loss of fps.

AI freezing during combat, I've seen this happening with vortigaunts and soldiers.

Fire door beeping while closed, destroying the glass AND pressing the button to close them can cause that.

Can you see each other's server listed? Are you using Xash or OG HL from steam? Can you host servers from other games? Is it a LAN server? Idk if I can help you with that, but provide more details so you'll be better understood. You can also check the creator's profile for some extra information.

Anyway, if svencoop is not a problem, you can play it instead since it makes server hosting a lot easier.

Not really, you should only edit the file you want to execute to host the server. You'll play normally and when hitting the load to the next map, it'll work.

The only weird thing that happened to me is that, after hitting the load to the next map, I needed to press any button from my keyboard so the next map would actually load. Otherwise, I would stay at the scoreboard screen forever.

But like I said before, I used Xash FWGS to play this mod so maybe it was a bug from Xash, I haven't tested with the Steam version yet (I just play svencoop instead).

Hello people, I'd like to address that "hldm1" problem that's not letting you go to the next map.

Idk how it works on Steam version since I'm using Xash FWGS (old engine).

So here is the problem: you hit the end of the map and wait for the next one to load, but that never happens, and all you can see on your console is the "changelevel" to a weird map called "hldm1".

The solution is: you need to put the .txt extension on your "mapcyclefile" command by editing the .bat file, here's an example:

xash_vc.exe +deathmatch 1 +map c1a0 +mapcyclefile c1a0.txt +maxplayers 8 -console

Take a look at the "+mapcyclefile", the mapcycle file must be called "c1a0.txt" and not "c1a0". It's like that because I fixed it. You need to go to the bat file you are trying to execute and edit with your notepad, add the .txt extension to your mapcyclefile command.

This method worked for me, I hope this can fix your problem!

Little update...

So I finished the mod on the original Xash for PC. I used the "map fid2a2a" command to keep my progress since the fwgs saves weren't compatible (duh).

Not a single crash, but my resolution was messed up, I changed it many times but it would always looks like it was setted on 800 x 600. Also my crosshair was messed too, at the bottom right corner.

Still, I finished it and was amazed by the quality! Congrats for the team!

Bug report: at the end of "fid2a2a", after the explosion of the gate, whenever I try to go to the next map, I get this error:

assert failed at client\gl_rsurf.c:2974

I'm using Xash3D FWGS 19.2 for PC. It uses the patched WON version of HL.

My system is Windows 10 home 64x, if it helps.
